David is CTO Americas for Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company in the Office of the CTO and is currently responsible for technology and solution strategy planning for Higher Education and Health Care. Within his 12 years at Aruba, his roles have included Vice President of Products, and President/CTO of Aruba Networks Government Solutions group. As a technical innovator, he holds 15 patents in network management, security and virtualization. As a business innovator outside of Aruba, he has held product and technology development leadership positions since the mid 1990s in many other exited startups, including Vidder, Alteon WebSystems, Packeteer, Maverick Networks, Netscreen Technologies. Over 30 years, he has developed products and markets for networking, security, voice and video communications, data center virtualization and mobile/cloud applications.
Sean McHugh is an experienced network engineer with over 20 years in the industry, currently working in the DITM Networks team at the University of Canberra. His responsibilities include managing and configuring wired and wireless networks, including HPE core, DC core, and Access switches, as well as HPE Aruba Networking and CX Access switches using ArubaOS 10 via the Central portal. With hands-on experience using and troubleshooting installations in the University's Student Residence Accommodation, Sean’s expertise ensures the University’s network runs efficiently. Outside of work, Sean is adjusting to the cooler climate of Canberra, having moved from the heat of Darwin.
